Travel Stories: Chobe National Park, Botswana – Day Eight
This Chobe National Park tour was really about the birds; it was a good day for birders but no lions, leopards or cheetahs for us big game hunters.

Despite the wonderful safaris of the past week, this was the best day of my vacation so far! A spectacular day devoted solely to Victoria Falls.
This was a travel day; in the morning I was saying goodbye to Johannesburg, South Africa and by early afternoon I was in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe dancing with the Zulus and in the evening cruising down the Zambezi River at sunset.
Part of the Tydon Safaris 12-day Exclusive Tour is a full-day tour of Johannesburg with MoAfrika Tours. With Susanne from Berlin Germany along for the ride, I had a feeling that this would be an intimate look from an entirely different perspective.
I was sorely disappointed to be leaving the Tydon Safari Camp that day and we drove through the famous Panoramic Route in drizzling rain and, at times, a heavy thick scene-stealing fog which matched my mood.
Another memorable encounter with a Leopard and I saw all five of the Big Five in one day! You know I slept well.
